EP Public Hearing on the social integration of women belonging to ethnic minority groups

The aim of the hearing was to discuss the issues related to the social integration of women belonging to ethnic minority groups, to evaluate social integration policies in the EU and to identify possible solutions to their discrimination.

The career opportunities of women belonging to minority groups was also discussed, with special attention to women's effective access to education and to the labour market. Further points examined were access to health care, and violence against women belonging to ethnic minority groups, who are even more vulnerable due to social and cultural isolation.
