Recommendations of the European Roma Information Office (ERIO) to the Spanish EU Presidency

As Spain takes over the EU Presidency, the European Roma Information Office (ERIO) issues its recommendations on social policy.

At the beginning of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion - 2010 and in times of economic crisis, the Spanish EU Presidency has the opportunity to strengthen the social pillars of the Lisbon Treaty, promoting social inclusion of disadvantaged groups such as Roma and migrants.  

ERIO would like to contribute to the Spanish EU Presidency by proposing recommendations for undertaking policy interventions at EU and national levels in areas of crucial importance for Roma.
