The FADA kicks off its Campaign in Support of a Non-Discriminatory Society

It will only be possible to attain the long-term objective of a culture of equal treatment, if all persons involved are acting in concert” declared Mrs Christine Lüders, head of the German Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency (FADA).

It is with this goal, of concerted action against discrimination, that the FADA kicked off its “Campaign in Support of a Non-Discriminatory Society”.

The Campaign is intended to encourage relationships and networking between national stakeholders and local counselling services in order to streamline the support given to those affected by discrimination.

The FADA has ear-marked support funds of 1.2 million euro to facilitate the creation of these networks and intends to from a “Coalition against Discrimination” with the Laender and Local Governments to promote anti-discrimination policies as a cross cutting political objective.

The Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency was established in 2006 and has been a member of Equinet since 2007.
