Luxembourg: Recruitment without Discrimination

April 19th 2018

The Centre for Equal Treatment in Luxembourg has published a short practical guide for employees on their rights in the recruitment process.

The principle of equal treatment should be in place for every candidate applying for a job in any given company. This short guide informs people about:

  • International and national non-discrimination legislation
  • Main grounds of discrimination in employment (gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, race and ethnicity, religion and belief, nationality)
  • Difference between direct and indirect discrimination
  • Exceptions
  • How to react if you think you’ve been discriminated against

Each section has practical examples that show what all of this means in practice.
Download it from the CET website in French.
