Evolution and impact of CJEU case law on Racial and Employment Directives

March 7th 2013

A thematic report release by the European Network of Legal Experts in the field of non-discrimination

This new thematic report released by the European Network of Legal Experts in the field of non-discrimination sets out to provide a general analysis on the evolution of the case-law of the CJEU on the EU anti-discrimination directives (the Racial Equality Directive and the Employment Equality Directive) and the way the Court has interpreted and applied the provisions of both directives. The report also examines the impact of its jurisprudence as well as the reasoning that the Court has regularly applied to justify its decisions. By analyzing judgments of the Court, opinions of Advocate-Generals, academic commentary and decisions of national courts the report also examines the impact of the CJEU’s Jurisprudence on National Law.
