Communication Strategies and Practices

The Working Group on Communication Strategies and Practices is mandated to explore how national equality bodies can share information on and enhance their strategic approach to communication activities and build capacity in this area. This working group will serve as a platform for discussion, reflection and action on the effective development of communication strategies and activities by equality bodies. It will focus on the work of members in raising awareness of equality, rights and obligations among the general public and the groups experiencing discrimination.

In this context, the objective of the working group is to:

• develop a dialogue between Equinet members and their staff on effective and integrated communication strategies to promote Equality and prevent discrimination
• annually produce a factsheet on different sub-themes of communication activities
• contribute to the Equinet web media library resource
• contribute to the content of Equinet's trainings on communication strategies and practices
