Following the recent developments and negotiations related to the newly proposed anti-discrimination EU Directive within the Council under current Swedish Presidency, EQUINET – the European Network of Equality bodies issued a statement to encourage continuous efforts towards the development of legislation protection against all grounds of discrimination in areas beyond the labour market and to ensure that the proposed Directive retains some crucial provisions.
