Strategic Role of Equality Bodies

In 2009, Equinet's Working Group on Strategic Enforcement has explored the role and strategies of equality bodies in the context of wider society.

The report contains an introductory overview of the legal basis of equality bodies' functions and examples of the role equality bodies can have in society, in relation to other stakeholders and the long-term objectives and general strategies equality bodies can develop based on their role. The conclusions contain a number of lessons learnt based on the examples provided by working group members.
