From conflict to cohesion: competing interests in equality law and policy

This paper, published by the Equality and Diversity Forum (www.edf.org.uk) and prepared by Maleiha Malik of King’s College London, argues that we must avoid creating a hierarchy of rights and should instead look for ways of balancing them. The reports puts forward some general principles that could provide the basis for an approach to conflicts in equality law and policy.
