Homophobia and Discrimination on Grounds of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the EU Member StatesThe European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) has published this report in order to draw attention to the unsatisfactory human rights conditions in which gay, lesbian and transgender people are living within several member states. The first part of the study, that dates back to July 2008, focused on the legal situation whilst the second part, which has just been published on 31 March 2009, concentrates on the social context.
