ERA training seminars on EU anti-discrimination and equality law in 2011

The Academy of European Law (ERA) is organising again in 2011 two series of seminars, fully financed by the European Commission, and open to the participation of  European legal practitioners, including of course, legal staff of the equality bodies.

Series of seminars on EU Anti-discrimination Law:

This series of seminars is devoted to the anti-discrimination directives 2000/78 and 2000/43 (covering discrimination on the grounds of race, age, disability, religion and sexual orientation). The first events of the year will be:
Dates: 21-22 February 2011, Trier
Language regime:  English and German (with simultaneous interpretation)
Deadline to apply: 7 January 2011

Another event will take place on 11-12 April in English, French and German, which will focus on the recent developments in legislation and latest jurisprudence. Participants should therefore be already familiar with the detailed content of these Directives. The programme of this event will be available later in the year.
Conditions of participation: Participation is free of charge but places are limited. In case of exceeding number of applications, a selection procedure will take place. For selected participants, 450 euros of travel costs and 2 nights accommodation will be covered.

Series of seminars on EU law on Equality between women and men

Dates: 14-15 March 2011, Trier
Language regime:  English and French (with simultaneous interpretation)
Deadline to apply: 20 January 2011

Conditions of participation: Participation is free of charge but places are limited. In case of exceeding number of applications, a selection procedure will take place. For selected participants, 500 euros of travel costs and 2 nights accommodation will be covered.
