FRA meets Equinet and national equality bodies
The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) hosted a coordination and cooperation meeting with Equinet and national equality bodies from the 27 EU Member States. This is the second time such a meeting took place. The aim of the meeting was to discuss thematic issues of common interest and to provide an opportunity for the equality bodies to give substantive inputs into the Agency's work programme. Themes discussed were the underreporting by victims of discrimination, which is a problem evidenced by the Agency's EU-MIDIS survey and the rights of LGBT persons, a common area of work researched by the FRA in its report on homophobia. * Mandana Zarrehparvar, Chair of Equinet - speaking notes (PDF File 39 KB)
