Christine Lüders appointed head of the German Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency

On 8 February 2010, Mrs Christine Lüders has been appointed head of the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency (FADA) by the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

 

On 8 February 2010, Mrs Christine Lüders has been appointed head of the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency (FADA)  by the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. Mrs Lüders succeeds to Dr Martina Köppen, who stepped down according to the legal limitation on 27 October 2009.

Christine Lüders is an expert in integration, public relations and communication. She has a long-term experience in politics and economy. Inter alia she worked as a consultant and head of division at Lufthansa. Later on, she took up the position of head of the public relations and communication division in the Ministry for Generations, Family, Women and Integration in North Rhine-Westphalia. Prior to her appointment at the FADA, she worked as a head of the public relations division and commissioner for foundations in the Ministry for Culture in Hesse. Lüders has a background in pedagogy, is 56 years old, married and lives in Frankfurt (Main).
